In a dramatic incident on Monday evening in Karlstrasse, there was a violent argument between two families, which caused chaos. Around 8 p.m., a dispute in the parking lot of a pizzeria escalated when four people were involved in a loud conflict. While two men, 18 and 53 years old, fled their car to their home address, their opponents, two young men aged 19 and 20 from Nordenham, shouted reinforcements.

The situation continued to come to a head when the opponents visited the apartment of the two refugees and broke out a tangled dispute on Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse. The situation could only be calmed down through the intervention of several police forces. Several injuries then had to be taken to the hospital. The police have initiated investigations into dangerous bodily harm, and the 18-year-old also faces the accusation of causing a dangerous intervention in road traffic that caused damage of around 40,000 euros.
