On Monday, May 26, 2025, target investigators from the Saarland State Police Directorate arrested a 45-year-old Croatian citizen. The man, against whom a European arrest warrant of the Luxembourg authorities, was caught near his job in Heusweiler without resistance.

Background of the arrest are serious accusations: the Luxembourg authorities are investigating fraud, falsification of official documents and trading with them. For his offenses, the man in Luxembourg threatens between 5 and 10 years old. Interior Minister Reinhold Jost praised the efficient cross -border cooperation between the security authorities and emphasized that nobody could avoid his responsibility.
