At a festival in the Dürwiß district, May 29, 2025, a tangible argument that ended in a mass brawl occurred on Thursday evening. Witnesses reported a dispute between two groups, which quickly escalated and involved around 20 participants. The exact reasons for the argument are still unclear.

During the tumult, a 22-year-old woman from Eschweiler, who was apparently not involved in the dispute, was injured in the face. Unnoticed by the arrived police, she quickly removed from the scene and made her way home. The police are now investigating the matter to bring light into the dark of this violent scene.
