Fire of friendship: Teaching and Trzcianka celebrate harmonious reunion!

Trzcianka, Polen - A delegation from the Teaching volunteer fire brigade visited the Polish twin town of Trzcianka on the second weekend in May, in order to re -infect the friendship that has existed since 2003. Under the direction of Marco-Michael Bees and Axel Siemon, six firefighters and a firefighter traveled to the city, which had around 18,000 inhabitants. After a strenuous eight -hour journey, they were warmly welcomed by the Polish comrades at the Stütshna Podkowa.

The first evening was all about the German tradition of the maypole, with the Lehrter delegation brought a maypole and enjoyed typical dishes and drinks together with their Polish friends. The exchange took place in the Rychlik village community center, where you chatted through experience and strengthened the solidarity between the firefighters. A return visit to the Trzcianka firefighters is expected to go to the international trade fair for fire and disaster protection "Internutz" in June 2026.
