Fire in the former inn: refugees evacuated, 100,000 euros in damage!

in Kirchenstraße in Schweiburg on Wednesday at 3:10 p.m. a violent fire in a former inn, which is used to accommodate refugees, raged. Fortunately, all seven those present were able to save themselves unharmed, while around 80 volunteer firefighters were committed and contaminated the flames. The fire was limited to an adjacent extension, which was, however, badly damaged. The damage is estimated at over 100,000 euros.

The police have immediately initiated investigations into the cause of the fire, although external influences can be excluded so far. In the meantime, the approximately 20 affected residents are housed by the community of Jade in other accommodations. For safety, several ambulances and emergency doctors were also in use.
