On Friday afternoon, June 6, 2025, a fire broke out in the basement of a residential building on Thomas-Dehler-Straße in Düsseldorf-Garath. The fire brigade was alerted at 1:16 p.m. and quickly arrived at the scene to fight the flames. Four residents inhaled at the fire and had to be transported to hospitals, while around 20 other residents were examined on site. Fortunately, most residents were able to return to their apartments after the extinguishing work.
