Fire brigade Breckerfeld fights against fires and oil track - large -scale use!
On Monday morning, May 26, 2025, the Breckerfeld fire brigade was alerted to an oil trail on Hagener Strasse at 7:40 a.m. A truck had lost considerable amounts of equipment, which caused the road to be heavily dirty. The road was blocked on one side and a waste disposal company was consulted to remove the danger site.
Shortly after 10:45 a.m., employees of an industrial company in Schützenstrasse reported a fire in a filter facility. The Breckerfeld fire brigade and the fire brigade Ennepetal immediately moved out with several units. Fortunately, all employees had been able to leave the building in good time. Although the basement was heavily smoky, the emergency services were able to quickly control the fire and put the filter system outside. After extensive control with thermal imaging cameras, the building was largely extracted. The use lasted about 2 ¼ hours.
Another emergency call followed at 1:50 p.m.: A basement fire in the new street was reported, triggered by burning leaves and weeds. The fire brigade had to carry out extensive extinguishing work with a special soldering nail, since the fire had already spread into a space.
