A missed attempt to destroy weeds with a Bunsen burner led to a devastating house fire in Schuttertal, Schweighausen on Friday afternoon. When the firefighters arrived, the roof structure of the single -family house was already burning. "The fire had quickly expanded to other parts of the building," reported the emergency services.

Thanks to the quick reaction of the firefighters from Schuttertal and Elzach, the fire could be brought under control quickly. The post -extinguishing work is still underway, but luckily there were no injuries. The estimated property damage amounts to around 230,000 euros.
