On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the Nuremberg fire brigade was confronted with an unusually high volume. The professional fire brigade had to cope with several spectacular areas of application: a damaged high-volume line provided power outages in the area, including an old people's home, the N-energy was able to quickly restore the supply. There was also an air emergency at the Nuremberg Airport, which affected an aircraft with a technical problem, which was certainly landed.

In the afternoon, the fire brigade was alerted in a fashion store in downtown due to smoke development. The department store was cleared as a precaution, and luckily there were no injured or larger damage to property. Shortly afterwards, residents reported in St. Leonhard Gasbaruch, but it turned out that there was no gas exit. At the Nuremberg-Süd motorway junction, two traffic accidents occurred in which a person was slightly injured and the fire brigade also looked after a sick dog.

The day ended with two simultaneous basement: six people had to be saved and medically supervised in Peyerstrasse, while another fire in Gertrudstrasse was quickly brought under control without harming people. The emergency services were strongly challenged in several layers.
