In the night of June 2, 2025, the Remscheid fire brigade was again called for a fire in the vacant building at Lenneper train station. Shortly after midnight, at 00:54 a.m., the team arrived and quickly found that the fire raged in the entrance area. Thanks to the rapid intervention, the fire brigade's fire truck was able to quickly control the fire.
