250-kilo bomb in Wilhelmsburg discovered: Fire brigade saves the city!

Wilhelmsburg, Deutschland - On Wednesday afternoon the Hamburg fire brigade reached red! In Wilhelmsburg, on the Kattwykdamm, a 250 kg flying bomb from the Second World War was discovered at around 7 meters of water during exploratory work. Immediately 27 emergency services of the ordnance clearing service moved to defuse the explosive danger.

The divers bravely went into the water and were able to successfully recover the dangerous dud. The detonator was defused on site - an impressive performance! So worse was prevented and security in the region was restored. Hamburg breathes on!
