Chaos on the A5: 66-year-old hurls with heavy rain!

Efringen-Kirchen, Deutschland - A dramatic incident occurred on Monday morning, June 2nd, 2025, on the A 5 motorway near Freiburg. A 66-year-old driver skidded with violent heavy rain while driving towards Freiburg on his left lane. Unexplained, his vehicle initially collided with the left center protection schedule, then slipped across the road and finally hit the right protection plank, where the car came to a standstill. Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but a considerable property damage of around 70,000 euros was incurred.

The highway was closed at short notice due to the accident and the emergency services, fire brigade and the police moved out. A special company was even consulted to remove the damage and cleaning of the road. A total of eight protective plane elements were damaged - a lasting sign of the dramatic accident that was luckily without personal injury.
