Drama on the street: BMW burns - drivers delete flames themselves!

On Saturday afternoon, around 11:15 a.m., the police in Mannheim were called to a burning BMW. An attentive witness reported the fire, which the driver had almost completely deleted with a powder fire extinguisher provided by residents. When the police arrived, only slight smoke rose from the engine block. The Reilingen volunteer fire brigade was able to finally delete the last embers with water.

The driver noticed smoke during the journey and immediately parked the vehicle before going to safety with his passenger. When examining the engine compartment, he discovered the flames. A technical defect was determined as the cause of the fire and the vehicle suffered a total damage of around 10,000 euros. Fortunately, the driver and his passenger remained unharmed.
