In the early afternoon of May 29, a devastating fire broke out in an apartment building in the St. Lorenz Süd district of Lübeck. Two residents suffered injuries in the fire: a 72-year-old man was saved by the fire brigade from the ground floor, while a 30-year-old woman from Lübeck was seriously injured.

The fire brigade continues to fight the flames and the road closures in the area remain.
