Erkelenzer Straße, 41179 Mönchengladbach, Deutschland - On Sunday afternoon, a dramatic traffic accident occurred at the Erkelenzer Straße/B57 intersection in Mönchengladbach. A vehicle came off the road, overturned and landed in the ditch. Happiness in misfortune: The two occupants were able to free themselves from the crashed car before the rescue workers arrived. One person suffered minor injuries and was cared for by the emergency services on site before they were taken to a nearby hospital.

The fire brigade was on site with a large number of emergency services, including the help of the fire and rescue station II as well as several ambulances and an emergency doctor vehicle. During the entire duration of the operation, the police completely blocked the affected section of the street in order to cope with the effects of the accident. Fortunately, no other people were involved in the incident.
