Dramatic night for the fire brigade Tönisvorst: gas alarm and rescue operation!
The Tönisvorst volunteer fire brigade was alerted to two dramatic missions on Sunday night! At 11:30 p.m. it was in St. Tönis, where an unbearable smell of gas came out of a house. A short circuit in an underground high -voltage line had released dangerous gases. The residents were quickly cleared, and firefighters under respiratory protection set out to measure and localize the risk. With special devices, they record high concentrations of gas and carbon monoxide, which led to an immediate evacuation of the adjacent buildings. Finally, the culprit was discovered in the ground in front of the house, and a civil engineering company had to be used for the necessary repairs.
Just a few minutes later, at 00:27, another alarming emergency was reported in a pre -up. Passers -by had observed that a person threatened to drown on the 2nd floor of an old building! During the rescue work, a fire brigade was slightly injured, but was released in the hospital after a short treatment. Around 25 emergency services fought against the two emergencies until 3:12 a.m. and secured the area.
