Fat fire in Herdecker apartment: Rauch detectors save residents!

The fire brigade was alerted on Tuesday morning at 9:09 a.m. when a fire was reported in an apartment building in Koenenstrasse. When they arrived, the emergency services found that an apartment on the first floor was heavily smoky. Fortunately, smoke detectors and an attentive neighbor had raised the alarm in good time and warned the residents of the danger.

The cause of the fire was a fat inflamed on the stove, which enveloped the apartment into a dangerous smoke. However, a fire truck of the fire brigade was able to quickly control the fire, the assignment lasted about 45 minutes. Fortunately, the resident was unharmed and could get to safety.
