On Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025, there was a potential forest fire in Neustadt near Coburg, which could be prevented in good time thanks to the rapid reaction of the fire brigade. Walkers noticed smoke in the forest area near Thann and immediately alerted the emergency services, who successfully deleted several smoking embers. These embers were caused by two 13-year-old boys whose campfire was not properly deleted. Fortunately, thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade, no significant damage to property occurred, only a few marked needles remained. The two boys must now be responsible for bringing a fire risk, which underlines the seriousness of such incidents.
