Gonsenheim, Deutschland - The Mainz fire brigade had his hands full on June 10, 2025 and saved several animals! An injured bird was brought to the shelter while another small feathered friend was handed over to veterinary care. However, a helpless young cat on a construction site site turned out to be too shy and could not be caught. Two firefighters were used in these operations.

But that was not all: an oven caused smoke in an apartment. Fortunately, the air had already been clarified, but one person was examined by the emergency services for security. In addition, an oil track of almost two kilometers in Gonsenheim caused excitement. The fire brigade secured the danger site and handed it over to a specialist company for cleaning. Fortunately, a defective CO₂ container in an apartment building was secured in good time. The emergency services carried out ventilation measures and were able to quickly control the situation without injuries.

The fire brigade was called in addition to four false alarms in various facilities. These were due to technical disorders or harmless water vapor - a real evening tax for the emergency services, but no risk of fire in sight!
