Fire brigade Mettmann saves child from a muddy emergency at the pond!

Goldberger Teich, Mettmann, Deutschland - A dramatic rescue maneuver took place on June 11, 2025 at the Goldberger Teich in Mettmann! The fire brigade was alerted at 5:34 p.m. after a child got stuck in a muddy recess and sank to the hips in the tough floor. The other child nearby was not affected, but visibly shocked by the situation.

With shovels and a lot of skill, the brave rescue workers finally managed to safely free the frightened child from the mud. With the help of a rescue board, they transported the child safely to the bank, where it was looked after by the emergency services. Fortunately, there could be intact in the arms of concerned parents. The Mettmann fire brigade, the urban emergency service and the police, all of whom reacted quickly to save the child. A real stroke of luck in a delicate location!
