Funken strike in Horrheim: roofing fire destroyed 50,000 euros!

On Monday, June 2, 2025, a fire broke out in the roof structure of a residential building in the new Schulstrasse in Horrheim. The alarm entered at 11:35 a.m. when fire was triggered by sparking when working with a drill. The fire brigade hurried to the site and was able to extinguish the smoldering fire under the roof tiles within two hours before the flames spread to the entire building. Fortunately, despite the dramatic incident, nobody was injured.

The property damage is estimated at around 50,000 euros. In addition to the fire brigade, the police and emergency services were also on site to cope with the incident. The situation could be quickly brought under control and no further dangers for the residents are known.
