Thunderstorm chaos in Weinheim: fire brigade in constant use!
A violent thunderstorm on Saturday evening caused a sensation in Weinheim and alerted the fire brigade to numerous missions! At 5:30 p.m., a tree in Müllheimer Talstrasse fell on a residential building and damaged the roof. Fortunately, the fire brigade could quickly give all -clear that there was no acute danger to the residents. In Wachenbergstrasse, scree and mud ensured further obstacles, but the road was released in good time for the planned torchlight procession of the Weinheim corps students.
Already on Sunday morning, the Lützelsachsen-Hohensachsen department sent its strength to Hammelbächer Strasse, where a slate tree threatened to fall over. The danger was quickly removed! In another assignment, the fire brigade helped a fallen cyclist in the Wiesental with the first aid. An incident in the underground car park of the Schlossbergterrasse, where a fire detector struck, turned out to be a false alarm.
The weekend impressively showed how important the volunteers of the fire brigade are for security in Weinheim! If you want to participate, you can find out more on site or report via email and phone.
