Large rescue operation: Fire Brigade Grevenbroich saves twelve residents from Inferno!
In a dramatic use in Grevenbroich, a total of twelve residents were saved from an apartment building on Saturday evening after a fire broke out in the basement. At around 7:30 p.m., an emergency call alarmed the fire brigade and the emergency services due to heavy smoke development. Eyewitnesses reported people who may have been included in the building.
The emergency services, led by operations manager Christoph Nott, reacted promptly and increased the alarm level to "ManV 10" - a mass incident of injuries was feared. The fire stove was quickly localized, and after about 1.5 hours the last extinguishing measures were completed.
