A devastating fire in an apartment building in Ludwigsburg caused great damage on Thursday, June 5, 2025. At 3:15 p.m., the fire broke out in a sauna within an apartment for an unknown cause. The fire brigade had to evacuate the entire building because the extinguishing work took more time than expected. The property damage amounts to an estimated 200,000 euros.

The residents of the affected apartment, an 80-year-old and a 55-year-old, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, the other apartments in the building remained intact. The surrounding road was completely closed during the operation, but there were no significant traffic disruptions. Fire brigade, emergency services and police were on site with strong forces to control the situation.
