On Tuesday morning, May 27, 2025, there was a worrying incident in a post distribution center on Meininger Strasse in Zella-Mehlis. Employees discovered a damaged package from which a brownish, strongly smelling substance escaped. The fire brigade, rescue workers and police were immediately alerted. A total of eleven employees between the ages of 18 and 53 complained of dizziness and nausea. A man had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

By investigating and querning the recipient, it turned out that the ominous liquid was a dietary supplement made of garlic. The fire brigade finally gave the all -clear and classifies the substance as harmless. However, the damaged package could not be handed over to the recipient.
