Carbon fire in Oettern: Community saves compost heaps from flames!

Oettern, Deutschland - On Sunday afternoon, a fire broke out in Oettern, triggered by a 46-year-old who disposed of old coal on his compost heap. The coal was apparently not yet completely cooled and inflamed the compost remains. Fortunately, no external damage occurred.

Since the property is generous, the fire initially remained unnoticed. The volunteer fire brigade moved quickly and could easily extinguish the flames. The firefighters once again showed their skills and prevented worse things in this dangerous situation.
