Kitchen fire in Mönchengladbach: residents unharmed, house uninhabitable!

At noon, the Mönchengladbach fire brigade was called to an alarming kitchen fire. When she arrived, it turned out that the kitchen was on fire on the ground floor of a residential building, and thick smoke tortured from all windows. Fortunately, the residents were able to flee in good time and remained unharmed, while neighbors took care of them.

The situation is serious, however: the building is currently uninhabitable and the family has to temporarily stay with friends. At the same time, measurements were carried out on an adjacent house to check any pollutants - but the results were soothing and the neighboring house can continue to be inhabited. Several units of the fire brigade, including extinguishing trains and rescue vehicles, were used to help as quickly as possible and to cope with the risk.
