on Tuesday evening, June 3, 2025, there was a dramatic motorcycle accident on Nieler Strasse in Kranenburg-more. A 26-year-old Dutch motorcyclist lost control of his bike for reasons that have so far been unexplained, raced from the road and crashed into an open grazing gate with full force. The misfortune happened in a dangerous curve, and the driver was thrown into a ditch where he remained seriously injured.

rescue workers from the Kleve district were quickly on hand to supply the man in the water. Because of his injuries, he could not be recovered at first. The fire brigade came to support and finally managed to save the seriously injured after a first treatment. A rescue helicopter flew him to a clinic in Nijmegen - luckily there was no danger to life. In addition, the fire brigade ensured that the motorcycle was stabilized in the water to prevent operating materials from leaving. The liquids already expired were stopped with an oil lock, while the fire brigade initiated further measures in consultation with the Lower Water Authority.
