In the early Whit Monday morning, June 9, 2025, the fire brigade in Döhlen was alerted into a fire. At 5:43 a.m., a garbage can was on fire and set fire to the wooden outer wall of an adjacent shed. The fire brigades from Großenkneten and Huntlosen were quickly on site and fought the flames.

After intensive extinguishing work, the emergency services managed to completely delete the fire and check the sources of danger in the roof area. The entire use lasted about 30 minutes. No further information on the cause of the fire is known, the police have taken over the investigation.
