Oil exit on the Ruhr: Fire brigade in use at the Flora Bridge!

on the evening of October 21. the Mülheim fire brigade was alerted to the Flora Bridge after passers -by discovered a shimmering oil film on the Ruhr. The suspicion was confirmed on site: Low quantities leaked fuel were left out of a floating work platform below the bridge.

immediately the fire brigade used an oil ban with oil binders and surrounded the platform with Ölaufsaugnlangen, which were placed using boats from the DRK and the fire brigade. After around 90 minutes the site was handed over to the environmental agency.
