Cars in Rotenhain Lichterloh in flames - cats saved!
On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, a devastating car fire broke out in Rotenhain's main street at 11:34 a.m. Residents immediately alerted the fire brigades from Stockum-Püschen, Bellingen, Langenhahn and Hintermühlen. When it arrived, the car parked directly in front of a multi -family house was full. Fortunately, the residents had already left the building.
The firefighters used several teams under respiratory protection to combat the flames. Since the fire flared up again and again under the car, the emergency services quickly grabbed a foam tube to finally suffocate the flames. The fire smoke penetrated through tilted windows into some apartments, but with the help of a overpressure fan, the home of the residents was saved quickly. All apartments were checked with a gas measuring device to rule out dangerous fire gases, and the residents were soon able to return. A special success: a cat that got stuck in a window was saved by the fire brigade and brought back safely. The car suffered total damage, and the facade of the house was also damaged by the heat. Fortunately, all people and animals remained unharmed. The police have started the cause of the fire.
