In Mannheim, a devastating smoke alarm caused excitement on Tuesday evening! Around 7:35 p.m., a concerned resident alerted the fire brigade about a strong smoke development from an apartment building on Rohrbacher Strasse. To ensure that no fire raged on the upper floor, the fire brigade used a turntable ladder, which led to the closure of Rohrbacher Straße between Zähringer Straße and Blumenstraße in both directions.

Fortunately, it turned out that the cause of the smoke development was only charred garbage bags on a balcony. No damage to property occurred and nobody was injured! After the successful operation, Rohrbacher Straße could be released again around 8:30 p.m. An exciting evening that luckily went out!
