Smoke alarm without danger: fire brigade weather saves night!

On the night of Sunday, the fire brigade Wetter (Ruhr) was called to a fire alarm in a refugee accommodation on Wilhelmstrasse at 2:11 a.m. On site, the emergency services found that a smoke detector had triggered in a pan by dishes that had become too hot.

The fire brigade checked the kitchen with a thermal imaging camera and opened the windows of the affected area to defuse the situation. After clarifying the situation, no further measures were required. The operation lasted a total of 25 minutes before the forces could move away.
