On Saturday morning, a fire from garbage and newspapers stored in the hallway broke out in an apartment building in Mönchengladbach. Thanks to the installed smoke alarm, which immediately raised alarm, an attentive resident alerted the fire brigade on emergency call 112. When the emergency services arrived, poet smoke came out of the hallway.

The firefighters, equipped with respiratory protection devices, immediately went over to combat the fire. The cause of the fire has so far been unclear, but it is clear that the garbage was improperly stored. After the fire fight, the smoke was removed from the building with a high -performance fan and the entire area was searched for possible fire nests. Ultimately, the garbage was removed and properly disposed of, and luckily there were no injuries. The site was handed over to the police for further determination. The head of operations was a fire department councilor Stefan Nießen.
