Terrible accident on A8: 70-year-old injured and hours of traffic jam!

On Saturday afternoon, around 2:38 p.m., there was a dramatic traffic accident on the A8 near Karlsruhe. A 70-year-old driver of a VW lost control of her vehicle, crashed into the left concrete edge twice and stopped on the left lane. Parts of the car flew around and damaged two other Mercedes-Benz vehicles that drove on the left and right lane.

The 70-year-old driver and her passengers, a 31-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man suffered minor injuries and had to be taken to the hospital for outpatient treatment. The total damage amounts to around 25,500 euros. The traffic police in Ludwigsburg as well as emergency services and the fire brigade were on site with a large contingent. Due to the rescue work, the middle and left lane was closed until 4:49 p.m.
