Terrible accident in Herrenberg: Young people rest against tree!

Schlossberg, Herrenberg, Deutschland - On Saturday afternoon there was a dramatic traffic accident in Herrenberg. An 18-year-old driver of a VW Golf raced down the Schlossberg road at an excessive speed when he came towards a Mercedes-Benz A-Class who was directed by a 62-year-old woman. In order to avoid a collision, the young driver deviated to the right, came off the road and crashed into a tree on the side.

The impact was violent! The driver and his four passengers, including a 17-year-old, were seriously injured-the 17-year-old had to be recovered from the car by the fire brigade. A rescue helicopter and several ambulances were quickly on site to bring the injured to nearby hospitals. Fortunately, the two occupants of the Mercedes remained intact. The VW Golf is now unusable and the damage is estimated at around 5,000 euros. The Ludwigsburg traffic police have started the investigation into the course of the accident and is looking for witnesses who have helpful information.
