On Sunday afternoon, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on the federal road 3 near Heppenheim, in which a total of four people were slightly injured. Around 10:45 a.m. there was a collision between two vehicles when an 84-year-old driver with her 88-year-old passenger was about to leave the roundabout on Gunderlachstrasse. An oncoming car of a 45-year-old driver crashed into the elderly lady's car.

Shocking scenes took place when a person in the car of the 45-year-old was caught. Thanks to brave first aiders, however, she could be released quickly. Two injuries were taken to the hospital, while two more independently went into medical treatment. The police thanks the helpers on site, but points out that not all road users sufficiently respect the rescue measures, which led to heated discussions between the people present and the fire brigade. The police appealed to those responsible to always follow the instructions of the rescue workers in order to support the life -saving work as best as possible.
