In the early morning hours of May 31, 2025, there was a fire -threatening situation in Neubrandenburg: Four fires broke out almost simultaneously! The alarm was triggered at 4:30 a.m. In Stargarder Straße it smoked from a trash can, but the fire brigade had deleted the fire quickly, so that no damage to property was caused.

It became more dramatic in the Oststadt, where a paper container was on fire in Woldegker Straße and Petrosawodsker Straße. In Villejuifer Straße, the flames blazed from a bulk waste pile. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire brigade, the fire was quickly brought under control. The damage amounts to around 600 euros.

The investigation indicate arson! The criminal police are already active and asks the population for help. Witnesses who have noticed something suspicious are urgently asked to report to the police.
