Dangerous intervention in rail traffic: Witnesses urgently wanted!

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, there was a dangerous incident in rail traffic at Wolmirstedt. At 3:59 p.m., the railway control center of the Magdeburg Federal Police Inspectorate informed that a freight train had run over on the rails. The rail tracks were immediately closed and the police hurried to the site with flashing lights. There the officials also found so -called stone flour over a length of two meters.

The prompt measures caused considerable delays: a total of 15 trains were affected and suffered a delay of 467 minutes. The federal police have initiated an investigation into the rail traffic for the dangerous intervention and asks the population for help. Information on suspects in the area of ​​the Bahnhofstrasse - Glindenberger Straße level crossing are requested to determine the perpetrators.
