On Tuesday morning, May 10, 2025, traffic police officers of the Passau inspection made a explosive discovery on the A3: with a routine check of a Renault towards Austria, the officials noticed that the vehicle was apparently stolen. The 49-year-old driver was temporarily arrested at around 5 a.m.

The stolen car was ensured and the Passau criminal police have taken over the investigation. The public prosecutor is now investigating suspicion of stealing and forgery of documents. The man was released again after the police measures were completed, but will remain in the focus of the investigators. The exciting hunt for the background of this case has just started!
