Sought -after knife attack in Bad Salzdetfurth: Information wanted!

On the evening of May 2, 2025, a dramatic attempted attack occurred in Bad Salzdetfurth. A 14-year-old boy and his girlfriend were on the sidewalk on Bodenburger Strasse when a group of five to six people appeared. Suddenly one of the attackers pulled a knife and demanded the publication of an e-cigarette. Fortunately, the boy was unharmed, but experienced a shock.

The Bad Salzdetfurth police started an extensive search for the perpetrator, which was unsuccessful. Criminal proceedings for attempted severe predatory extortion have been initiated. The investigators are looking for relevant information from the population. The accused is described as a male, about 175 cm tall, with a very dark skin color and African phenotype. He wears a gray and white jogging suit and flip-flops.
