Violence in Gaarden: Five knife attacks within three days!

In a troubling wave of violence, the Kiel police documented five incidents between 27 and 29 May, 2025, in which people with serious stab wounds were taken to the hospital. Two of the injured were temporarily in mortal danger. All attacks occurred in the Gaarden district and led to intensive investigations by the district criminal police in Kiel.

Last night a 17-year-old Bulgarian was arrested in connection with these acts. He is presented to a judge today. The first incident occurred on Tuesday in Karlstal street, where a 26-year-old Iraqi and a 40-year-old German were found with serious injuries. Further investigations in Mühlenstrasse led to the suspect when a 31-year-old German also appeared with stab wounds. The police call on the population to report information on the cases of the Schleswig-Holstein state police in order to contribute to clarifying the acts.
