Toxic gas clouds on rub: fire brigade in use for leaving fabric!

In the afternoon of today, an alarming fabric exit at the Ruhr University Bochum. An employee complained of headache, which promptly led to the alarm of the fire brigade. Around 3:35 p.m., concerned employees reported the exit of hydrogen sulfide from a laboratory. The fire brigade immediately sent a large number of emergency services and moved into the Querenburg.

When the fire brigade arrived, the situation revealed itself: a small amount of hydrogen sulfide had left, but even the local measuring devices could not prove anything. Nevertheless, the employee concerned was immediately examined medically because he complained about ongoing headaches. The tailwind was announced! The fire brigade entered the laboratory area under respiratory protection and initiated extensive ventilation measures. Additional air measurements also showed no danger. Thank God the employee was able to stay on site, and his symptoms declined during the mission. After successful ventilation measures, the fire brigade was able to leave the site around 4:36 p.m. A total of around 40 fire brigade and emergency services were deployed.
