Border controls at Champions League final: pyrotechnics and prohibitions secured!

Iffezheim, Deutschland - On May 31, the Champions League final between Paris Saint Germain and Inter Milan took place in the Allianz Arena Munich. In the run -up to the game, the federal police set up a checkpoint at the Iffezheim border crossing to check the fans arriving. Information measures were also carried out at the Wintersdorf border crossings Wintersdorf, Altenheim, Kehl Europabrücke and Rheinau as well as on significant train connections.

The controls led to a variety of finds. When searching for private transport and several buses, the officials secured pyrotechnics at the Iffezheim border crossing, forbidden objects and masking utensils. In addition, several violations of the Consumer Cannabis Act and the Weapons Act were found. Police director Tobias Lehmann was very satisfied with the course of the mission and the results.
