Great fire in Dresden: Former state operetta is on fire!

Pirnaer Landstraße, 01237 Dresden, Deutschland - A spectacular major fire caused massive alarm on June 6, 2025 in Dresden! At 7:37 p.m., open flames from a building on Pirnaer Landstrasse in the Leuben district were blazing. The fire brigade was quickly on site, but the strong smoke development forced the emergency services to immediately issue a warning to the residents. People within a radius of 1,000 meters were asked to keep windows and doors closed and switch off ventilation systems.

Because of the acute danger, two adjacent residential buildings even had to be evacuated, while the dense column of smoke moved towards Großzschachwitz and Heidenau. The Pirnaer Landstrasse is currently completely closed, which also has an impact on public transport. Over 60 firefighters are in constant use, and additional district fire brigades were alerted to ensure basic protection in the city. The location remains tense!
