Great fire in Kleinenberg: two families evacuated, passed through the town!

A dramatic fire in Kleinenberg caused excitement early Saturday afternoon. For reasons that have been unexplained so far, a 2-family house got on fire, with luck all five residents flee from the building unharmed. But this was not yet all: the fire threatened to attack a neighboring single -family house, which is why the two residents were brought to safety there too.

Because of the extensive extinguishing work, the passage through the town remains closed, much to the inconvenience of road users. Drivers from Lichtenau are diverted to Holtheim via the K24, while arrival from Scherfede are led via the L763 towards Willebadessen. In the meantime, the strong smoke developments led to the evacuation of further residential buildings, but the residents have now been able to return. However, the affected 2-family house is completely destroyed, and the neighboring house is also no longer available due to water pollution. The local authorities are already working on the provisional accommodation of the families concerned. The cause of the fire remains a mystery for the time being and will continue to be examined.
