Great fire in Schülp: thatched roof house is on fire!

In the early morning hours, at 2:29 a.m., the fire brigades Schülp near Nortorf and Nortorf were alerted to a devastating fire in Redderstücken street. When the emergency services arrived, a thatched house was already in full fire. Additional fire brigades were quickly fetched, so that a total of 120 emergency services were on site. Despite its efforts, the building was no longer saved and burned down completely. Fortunately, surrounding houses remained undamaged, but two people suffered slight flue gas poisoning.

The smoke spread was enormous, so that the residents were asked to keep windows and doors closed and switch off ventilation and air conditioning systems. So far there has been no information on the cause of the fire and the damage incurred, but the police have already initiated investigations.
