Main customs office Osnabrück: Records in drug attacks and tax revenue

In 2023, the main customs office Osnabrück achieved impressive results. A total of over 883 million euros flowed into tax revenue to the state treasury, including more than 295 million euros in import sales tax. Particularly noteworthy is the successful combat of undeclared work, in which investigations have a damage of over 18.1 million euros. In addition, 77 million euros were taken through enforcement measures.

The customs officials also took decisive measures against drug crime: 41 kilograms of drugs were ensured, including 18,500 ecstasy tablets and 16 kilograms of marijuana. A total of 674 complaints and 9 arrests were registered with extensive personal controls and operations of the traffic routes. There were also 27 violations of the Medicinal Products Act and numerous security -relevant complaints from imported goods in postal traffic.

The main customs office of Osnabrück plans to expand its training positions. By October 15, 2025, interested parties can apply for training and study places that begin in September 2026.
