On Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025, a capsized catamaran caused excitement in front of Nonnenhorn. Around 8:00 p.m., a concerned caller alerted the police after the two crew members were unable to set up the boat independently.

quickly, an official from the Water Protection Police of the Friedrichshafen station moved into the water with a cold protection suit to assist the seafarers shouting for help. Together, the crew and the police managed to get the catamaran back on its feet. Fortunately, the boat was able to reach the port of Nonnenhorn independently, and the two people remained intact.
