High -risk traffic controls: alcohol and drugs in focus in MV!
Neubrandenburg, Deutschland - On June 5, 2025, the police started the traffic controls of the campaign “Drive.Astleben.leben!” In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Throughout the Junis, the focus is on driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs and medication. During the first control, 1,565 vehicles nationwide passed. Especially in the Neubrandenburg police headquarters were 864 vehicles, while 701 vehicles were checked in Rostock. A total of 121 civil servants were used in the chord!
The controls revealed alarming results: five administrative offenses due to alcohol at the wheel, 25 violations in connection with narcotics and 326 speed violations. Particularly shocking: a driver was flashed with a whopping 120 km/h in a 60s zone! The police warn: Every violation can have fatal consequences. The campaign should draw attention to the serious dangers in road traffic and provide more security!
